Friendly and communicative English speaking staff. On checking-in the host took her time to explain the facilities (key card, doors, a/c, security etc) whilst some other people waited for service - it was nice that she wasn't distracted and gave each guest their full attention. This is the way to do it, and comes across very well (unless you're there waiting I guess!!). The room was compact but complete with a fab shower with large rain head and washbasin lit mirror. Plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well all 3 nights. Wifi was free and unsecured - no password required. Access to the building and room was simple and reliable at all times. The interior of the building was very tastefully decorated and looked fresh; for an historic building they did a very good job. Great location - 8 mins walk to the cathedral, 18 to train/bus station. Airport bus stop 6A is directly outside the door, 45 mins journey, €1 in 2026. Really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.

The fuse box by the door above the key card slot emits a quiet hum. It powers the room and normally isn't a problem during the day. But at night it made sleeping difficult for me and the only way to stop it is to remove the key card - which is what I did, and slept soundly. However, it means you've no power to anything so can't charge devices and have no light for bathroom visits etc. However the green emergency light above the door is on all the time, which for me was enough light for nocturnal adventures (didn't prevent or interfere with sleep). But take note. An alternative would be to plan night-lights; i.e. turn on the washbasin lit mirror (only) before turning off everything else and going to bed and then removing the key card (place it on the bedside locker) - and if you need to get up in the night, insert the key card again and you'll have the small bathroom light available. But that's messing about and pre-planning... This is the only negative, with workaround.

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom decor was great.

A breakfast option would be nice. but, not mandatory.

Smelled fresh and clean. Comfortable bed and bedding was nice. Window opened for fresh air and it was quiet at night.

It does not have a room fridge to store small drink and food items. Limited storage space.

Very friendly receptionist that even helped me with my bag. Very modern room and very clean.

Lack of soundproofing. I slept very badly the one night I stayed because I could hear noise and footsteps from the adjacent room.
