About this house rental
On Lake Charlevoix, close to downtown Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath, spacious and airy, lakefront home that sleeps 10 adults or 6 adults and 4 kids. Hot tub overlooking lake. Paddle boards and kayaks. Perfect for kids of all ages. Fully equipped executive home. Absolutely no smokers on property, no pets, and no parties.
We would like to open our lake house for the enjoyment of other families. Our property offers the best of all locations: on Lake Charlevoix, less than 5 min drive to downtown restaurants and shopping, 3 min from milk, a couple of minutes walk to Ferry Park with a beach, basketball and volleyball and 7 min drive to Lake Michigan. Charlevoix, with an airport that can accommodate private jets, is located close to other fun towns to visit: Petoskey (20 min), Harbor Springs (40 min), Boyne City (30 min) and Traverse City with an international airport (1 hour).
For downhill skiers and snowboarders, we are located right in the middle of great Michigan skiing: 25 minutes from Boyne Mountain, and 40 minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nub's Nob.
Our house is surrounded by arborvitae which creates a screen of privacy. We have a large front and back yard, and dock. Our dock is for lake access only. A huge deck lakeside features patio seating as well as dining for 8 under an umbrella covered table and a 8 person hot tub.
Our dock is not suitable nor sturdy enough for tethering boats or jet skis, however we are only one block from Irish Boat Shop, where you can rent a boat slip for just $1.75 per foot per night.
The house is air conditioned and has a sprinkler system which comes on around 4 a.m. so don’t leave towels on the grass!
Inside, the living and bath floor areas are tiled and all bedrooms and hallways are carpeted. The floor plan is open and spacious with cathedral ceilings, with above windows and below sliders both creating light and airiness. The living room has two leather sofas with two upholstered recliner chairs with a large screen TV. There is Roku; no cable. The dining room features a long wood table that seats 10 (and 4 padded folding stools for extra seating) for memorable family dinners recounting the day's activities. There is casual dining at the granite breakfast bar.
The kitchen is completely outfitted, even with a birthday sheet cake pan. The laundry off the kitchen has a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer as well as a utility sink.
Our king beds have the best mattresses ever; you will sleep so well! First floor primary bedroom is spacious, has a walk-in closet, private bath, and glass sliders onto deck and close access to the hot tub. There is a comfortable chair in case you want to get away from the group with a good book or watch TV. Primary bathroom offers a jet tub, a shower with the best water pressure ever, private toilet closet, and a double sink vanity.
First floor guest bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, and large, bi-fold closet. Large, full shower bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom.
Upstairs finds another guest bedroom SOUTH with a king bed, sofa, TV, and huge walk-in attic area that has been a favorite hide-away, sleeping place for little ones. Adjacent to this bedroom is a full shower bath with long vanity.
At the other end of the upstairs hallway is the guest bedroom NORTH which offers four in twin beds which convert and can be made up to two, comfortable king beds. A private bathroom for this bedroom has a shower. There is a TV, bi-fold closet and a window air conditioner.
We have a closet full of games and puzzles, and miscellaneous craft items.
Hopefully your family can come visit and create some memories in Charlevoix!

We had such an incredible stay at this home! It was super spacious with plenty of room for our group of 10 to spread out and relax. One of our favorite parts was the kids’ room—set up with four twin beds, and each bed had its own pack of M&Ms on each pillow. Such a sweet and thoughtful touch!The beach was amazing—huge, soft, sandy, and pretty private. We spent hours out there every day swimming, playing, and relaxing. We even found a bunch of Petoskey stones, which was such a fun surprise. The outdoor patio was dreamy with a large dining table and super comfortable lounge chairs. I loved waking up early, making a cup of coffee, and reading out there while listening to the waves.The location was prime with just a short drive into downtown Charlevoix for restaurants, shops, and ice cream, and also close to Lake Michigan for day trips.Julie, the host, was amazing. She was helpful & quick to respond to anything we needed. She left us a welcome basket full of snacks and goodies for both the adults & kids.The beds were really comfortable and everyone slept great. Water pressure in the bathrooms was excellent. The kitchen was the real standout - hands down the best-stocked rental kitchen we’ve ever experienced, with every tool, gadget, and spice you could need. It made cooking super easy and enjoyable, which is rare when you’re not in your own kitchen.Overall, this place felt like a home away from home—relaxing, beautifully set up, and full of thoughtful details!

My family and I spent a perfect Michigan summer week at this lovely home. The house is very welcoming and the owner has thought of everything to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our week. The location is great as well. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed (8 of us) at the house over New Year's 2020-21. The house is beautiful and perfect for a family vacation. The main area is open and spacious, so we could all be together, whether in the kitchen, dining area, or on the couches.
The entire wall facing the water is window, so the view is fantastic, even in the winter. There is a hot tub on the deck that's great in the winter and I can imagine how much more fun it would be use the beach and the lake in the summer.
The four bedrooms (three with king beds) were perfect to accommodate our group. The bedrooms are good size and there are plenty of full baths, too.
We had a minor glitch, but the homeowner was on it immediately. Her quick response ensured our stay was not disrupted.
It was a memorable stay that we thoroughly enjoyed.
