About this country house rental
Welcome to Milos Casa,
a farmhouse nearby the ruins of the ancient city of Filakopi, where the guests can enjoy the gentle and relaxing sound of reeds and sea waves.An ideal place for a 4 person family, 2 friendly couples , or a group of 4 friends.(Also available for 2 persons).Ideal for long stays.
Milos Casa is a farm house of 3.5 acre of cultivated fields and about 0.5 acre of house facilities. Its history begins back in 1920 and during the last 2 years has been totally renovated, retaining its unique traditional old style features combined with modern amenities.
House structure
The facility has a very playful feel and it consists of two main rooms which can be isolated from each other, a W.C , an exterior kitchen and an exterior bathroom. The first room is used as a master bedroom (double bed inside), while the second one, can have multiple uses (2nd bedroom with a double bed or two singles, living room), depending on the number and needs of guests. In each of these rooms air conditioning is included. The W.C. has its own shower and can easily serve basic needs of our visitors, yet for those who prefer to enjoy their shower, while gazing the landscape, there is an exterior bathroom.Next to it a washing machine is available for washing clothes. An excellent combination of simplicity, elegance and comfort.
A traditional “rustic” oven, which has been restored to a fully equipped kitchen(regular oven, electric glass plates, toaster, gas BBQ, filter coffee machine, espresso pot, medium size refrigerator)
is right next to the main rooms with independent yard. The kitchen comes along with a wooden exterior table and a built-in six-person seat. An ideal spot for having breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Washing machine is available next to the exterior bathroom.
The yard of the place provides its guests with a beautiful and peaceful view of the fields, the dry river beneath the house and the sea sight on the horizon.
Cool off spots
For those who like to lay and swing there is a hammock at the lower garden. An exterior shower near the entrance of the main yard offers a cooling experience during the warm hours of the day.

Milos Casa stands alone, almost hidden, totally surrounded by silence and sounds of nature. Your privacy will not be interrupted by anyone and anything. At the same time, you will be 2,5 km away from Apollonia, one of the most famous traditional villages of Milos (well known for its restaurants, cafés and easy going atmosphere). You will also find yourself very near to all the northern beaches of Milos, such as Papafragas , Mytakas , Pachena , Sarakiniko , Kastanas.

Breakfast is not included, but during your stay you will have the chance to taste few of our local products such us local food, sweats, fruits and wines.

Nice home in the mountains, clean andwell equipped. Close to Pollonia. Very picturesque and quiet. Host was friendly and communicative.

We came to really love Filakopi, although initially we were surprised that there was no indoor living room or dining room. But there was a huge patio which came to serve as both. The kitchen is small but very well-stocked. I would recommend stocking up at a grocery store before heading up the mountain. The only drawback for us (we are in our 70s and have back and leg injuries) was the walk from where the car was parked to the house. It was quite a steep incline and it was difficult to make it up to the house without stopping to pant. Younger travellers would not find this an issue at all. One big plus. The neighbor's cats came to visit and we were delighted to have a "kitty fix" while we were there. Communication with the owners was excellent. We received advise about where to eat and what to see.

The place is self checkin, but Yoryos was there it meet us. He gave us lots of great restaurant recommendations and beaches not to miss. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The view is lovely and it has a very relaxing vibe. We would stay there again!

We had such a great 3 night stay! Yiorgos was a perfect host, great communication before and during our stay to ensure everything went smoothly. Highlisghts of this property for us were: secluded and private, great outdoor spaces (patio, sitting area, shower), short drive to Apollonia and close to port/other activities, comfortable with everything we needed and more, view of the sea is better than the photos and you can hear it each morning as you awake, Yiorgos was one of the best hosts I’ve had- left a sweet little gift, picked some fresh fruit, provided coffee, bottled water, etc). The bed was comfortable, showers provided warm water, and little kitchen (accessed via outdoor patio) was cute and sufficient for our needs. There is a dirt road to access the place that is a bit bumpy, our little rental had a tough time with clearance but it was fine. FYI if you’re renting a car.Possible improvements- WiFi worked well but only in the rooms, which is a shame once you see the outdoor space. Good to know for those who need to access WiFi for work, etc.
