About this house rental

We will be happy to welcome you in our family house by the sea. Although it is very functional (washing machine, dishwasher, electric barbecue ...), we try to preserve the soul of the old fisherman's house that seduced us 15 years ago.

You will find on site:
2 mins walk: shopping street, bars and restaurants, cinema, 400-berth marina, sailing school, mini golf...
10 mins walk: beach, restaurants and pier for the islands of Jersey and Guernsey in season.
10/20 minutes by car: sand yachting and surfing (surf school), horse riding, golf, "greenway" (cycling) ....
Parking is free everywhere in Carteret, and possible in the rue d'Argenlieu, close to the house.
There is no garden, but space is available along the house (see photo)

Property traditionally furnished. Comfortable beds, loads of hot water and fully equipped kitchen. Worked really well for our cycling holiday. Close to bars and restaurants and 2 minutes to the boulangerie. Recommended!

Renting the property was very easy VRBO’s payment system was a little difficult paying with a credit card but I persevered. Marie-Claude quickly confirmed the booking and Madame Blondel who let us into the property was very welcoming. The house is well equipped with all you will need and there was plenty of hot water. Carteret is lovely we have visited many times.

This traditional fisherman's cottage was an excellent base for a holiday in this delightful small village by the coast. We enjoyed Carteret and visits in the surrounding area. We were comfortable and had all that was needed for our stay. The owners were friendly and most helpful when we contacted them both before and during the week and their housekeeper made our arrival and departure very easy, giving us useful local information. A great find!

Confort actuel, mais charme ancien. Dans une impasse calme très proche des commerces. Très propre, et bien équipée, bonne literie. Contact facile avec les propriétaires. Je recommande les yeux fermés. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Schon bei der Suche nach einem Ferienhaus haben wir uns in „Filles Du Gabelou“ verliebt und unsere Erwartungen wurden bei unserer Ankunft voll erfüllt - wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Ein fantastisches Haus mit viel Charme! Es fehlt an nichts, die Ausstattung ist perfekt und die besondere Atmosphäre einmalig. Die sehr netten Vermieter kümmern sich fürsorglich darum, dass die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Die Lage ideal als Basis für Entdeckungsreisen zu den Schätzen des Cotentin oder für für kurze Erkundungen vor Ort. Wir haben die drei Septemberwochen dort genossen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt darauf- a bientot Carteret!

Très agréable maison en tous points conforme aux photos et proche de la me,r. Région magnifique qui nous a donné très envie d'y revenir l'an prochain, pourquoi pas même ville et même location. Les propriétaires ont été très à l'écoute de nos demandes et y ont accédé. Nous recommandons sans réserve.
