About this apartment rental
In our beautifully situated farmhouse we have realized two guestrooms wíth own bathroom. Sleeping well is a must, so we did not save on the bed; a great mattress, comfortable duvet of our own alpacas and sufficient length for tall guests (220x240 cm).
If you want to stay with three persons in the room, we have an extra (folding) bed available.
There is a little beach, on the IJsselmeer, in about a 5 minute walk. The beach is not only popular by sunbathers, but because of the shallow water also very popular by (kite)surfers. If you want to see more of the surroundings, than the bicycle is the means of transport to take. Many beautiful villages and the city of Hoorn are only steps away from Schellinkhout. There is so much to do and to experience that even if the weather is not that beautiful for a day you do not have to be bored. In the vicinity of Hoorn, no lack of restaurants.

Our 6 night stay was really good. Bianca, our host, spoke excellent English and was happy for us to enjoy interacting with the alpacas on the farm.
Our room was large and comfortable. We thought the room would benefit from a wardrobe or free standing hanging space, especially for guests spendind a few nights there. I'm sure a TV would also be appreciated by most guests, once again, by those staying more than a night, and when the weather is poor. Perhaps it would be possible to incorporate the small refrigerator within the kitchen area in the room.
Breakfast was good, with home made produce and duck eggs from the farm. We would have liked some cold meats to accompany the cheeses.
We didnt have a car, so the regular bus service through the village was good. We enjoyed the snack bar at the village hall and watching the Euro 24 football games. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly.
We love Holland, and the weather could not have been better. It would be great to return but we are both in our late 70's so it may not be possible...but never say never.

Accueil sympathique. Accès à la chambre surprenante, située au dessus d'une étable.
Grande chambre récente, mais minimaliste, pas de télévision, accès wifi aléatoire.
Lit double très confortable, en revanche lit simple d'appoint.
Petit déjeuner simple.
