Pensar was one of those rare places that completely exceeded our expectations. The island is extraordinarily beautiful – peaceful, unspoilt and surrounded by the wonderful landscape of the Finnish archipelago. Staying at Talludden, a beautiful old villa full of character and history, made the experience even more special.
A very special mention must go to Minna, who manages the place and is simply amazing. Her warm and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome.
The food at Sandvik Restaurant was another highlight. The chef is outstanding – the salmon soup and fish of the day were simply out of this world, and breakfast was equally wonderful. Some of the most memorable food we had during our trip to Finland.
What we loved most about Pensar is its authenticity. It doesn't feel manufactured for tourists. There is a wonderful combination of nature, tranquillity, history, excellent food and genuine hospitality.
We travelled as a family and all of us loved it. Pensar was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Finland, and we would return without hesitation. A very special place, run by very special people.

Upeat maisemat, tilava viihtyisä huoneisto isolla terassilla, josta hienot näkymät merelle. Hyvät sängyt ja peitot.
Ruoka oli todella hyvää.
Saunan vuokrausmahdollisuus, idyllinen sijainti poukamassa.
Luontopolku, jota voi ilman muuta suositella.
Hanavesi vessassa..metallinen haju, ruostetta putkissa? Juomakelpoinen vesi haettiin kanisterilla. Tämä ok mutta siitä olisi hyvä olla ohje huoneessa, varsinkin ulkolaisille vieraille.
Vastaanoton sijainti voisi olla paremmin merkitty.

El entorno en el que está es precioso.
Las habitaciones no tienen ni baño ni ducha. Las duchas están a 500 m de las habitaciones. El baño en el exterior de las habitaciones es del todo insuficiente.

Beautiful location, food is amazing (one of the best vegan dishes I’ve ever had). Staff are lovely.
You should have a car for this island as walk from ferry is quite a long way (although the hotel manager was really kind and gave us a lift back to the ferry dock at
The end of the stay)
Loo is a couple of floors down from the room.
Otherwise we loved it - real back to nature experience.
