Holiday Club Naantali Apartments

The location is very good, the room is spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony overlooking the bays and islands; excellent drinking water, good plumbing, and polite, welcoming staff. Underground parking. Everything is very good, except for one thing.

The building next door is a high school. I don’t know what they teach the students there, but from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., many of them race motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs around the apartment complex. They create such an unpleasant noise that it completely ruins the enjoyment of the place. It is utterly baffling why the resort management cannot reach an agreement with the school administration to have these riders choose a route other than the one right beneath the windows of the hotel, where mostly older people are staying. There are more than enough suitable places for them to ride in the surrounding area. Therefore, I do NOT recommend these apartments to those for whom quiet is important. I would also like to draw the management's attention to the bathroom lighting system. It is triggered by a motion sensor that immediately switches the lights to maximum brightness. This is very inconvenient if you need to use the restroom at night—it feels like having a spotlight shone right in your eyes. There should be an option to adjust the sensor settings (such as day and night modes) or disable it entirely. All the other lights in the room have dimmers, which is very convenient, but the uncontrollable bathroom lighting is a nightmare.

Incheckningen var under all kritik. Urdålig. Ingenstans framgick av bokningsbekräftelsen att den skulle ske hos grannhotellet, Naantali Spa. Vi väntade i en timme utanför boendets reception, Holiday Club Naantali Apartments, på att någon skulle öppna och släppa in oss. Check-in var kl. 16 - 18 . Vi var där kl. 16. Receptionen var stängd. Vi fick av bokningsbekräftelsen besked om att ingen internet acess var tillgänglig. Under rubriken Hotel Policies. Köpte därför mobilt internet själva. Vid utcheckningen fick vi veta att internet hade funnits i lägenheten hela tiden.
