About this apartment rental

Summary:
Well located luxury apartment in the Baixa Chiado area of Lisbon. First floor apartment in a newly restored building with side view to the Tagus river and lots of light. Just a short 2 minute walk to the waterfront and the Cais do Sodré station. Take a 3 minute walk to the trendy Chiado shopping district where you have bars, cafes, wonderful shopping, restaurants and amazing views from roof top terraces in the local hotels.

The Space:
Very well located apartment in the Baixa Chiado area of Lisbon. First floor apartment in a newly restored building with side view to the Tagus river and lots of light. Just a short 2 minute walk to the waterfront and the Cais do Sodee station. Enjoy the very fashionable Ribeira market which is just a couple of minutes walk from here. Lovely high ceilings make you really feel the golden age of Portugal's past.

Really large living room divided into two areas. A separate dining area seats up to 6

Iron & ironing board, hairdryer, air-conditioning, heating (hot&cold).

Wi-fi internet access & cable TV (Many international channels)

Guest Access:
We will either meet you at the property or you will be able to collect the keys from a local key nest - please let us know which you prefer.
The metro station is on the door step so you can get from our amazing spot here to anywhere in Lisbon, Cascais or beyond!

The Neighborhood:
Step out of the front door and you find yourself right in the heart of it all. This area is rich in history and culture. It's extremely trendy with a variety of the best bars & restaurants just up a couple of blocks. A few minutes walk will take you to the late-night area of Bairro Alto where you can get a true Portuguese nightlife experience... Hop on the charming "Elevador da Bica" (Lisbon's famous tram inaugurated 1892) to be transported back to times gone by. The property is within 10 10-minute walk of the fresh produce market at Avenida 24 Julho near Cais do Sodré station.

Spill out into the plentiful cafés, bars and speciality shops for a real Lisboeta experience. Take in the sights and sounds whilst enjoying a typical continental breakfast or an afternoon beer "imperial" on the pavement cafés and watch the world go by.

This lively suburb of downtown Lisbon, one of the more intelectual parts of the city, frequented and inhabited by journalists, writers, students and visitors alike... just steps away from the trendiest shopping streets.

The area around this self-catering Lisbon Coast property has plenty to offer in respect of food, shopping, transport and other amenities such as pharmacies, banks, etc.

Getting Around:
Lisbon airport is just 20 minutes away by taxi.
Taxi service from the airport should not cost more than 25€. Alternatively, you can take the Metro until Baixa-Chiado station.
If you are driving, there are 2 parkings at 350 meters of the apartment that cost from 15€/day to 40€/day.

Other Things to Note:
Our properties are self-catering, but we do make all beds up with linen and towels as well as provide basic amenities such as toilet rolls and soaps for a day or two.

If you would like to have additional sets of linen or need to hire baby or beach equipment, we have an array of amenities we can offer. Please ask us for more information. Alternatively, your guest area will also have these items once you have booked. We are also able to arrange airport transfers and day trips with baby seats if needed.

* Since our office is located in Cascais, you can collect the apartment keys from a Keynest point at any time between 16h00 and 21h30, seven days a week.
If you prefer, we can also arrange a meet and greet service for an additional fee.

-€60.00 for arrivals after 23h00.

Tourist Tax:
Local municipalities have introduced a Tourist Tax, requiring hosts to collect from tourists staying in accommodations such as hotels, B&Bs, or vacation rentals. This tax contributes to the maintenance of local facilities and applies to tourists regardless of nationality. * Parties and loud music are strictly not allowed at any of our properties and actions may be taken should there be any complaints from the neighbours relating to excessive noise.

* Pets are not allowed at any of our properties regardless of size or behaviour as it is part of the agreement we have with our owners.

We enjoyed our stay in Portugal. The apartment was a perfect fit for our family of 5. Very spacious, clean and in a great location. We were easily able to pick up our key at the local market to check in. There was plenty of towels, pillows and extra bedding. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

The only issue was we arrived at 4 at the location to pick up our key and the key code wouldn’t work. We were asked to give it a few minutes. It still didn’t work and said we had 50 minutes to wait but we were there at the check-in time. I called the number for assistance and they had the location attempt again and it worked. Other than that, the location is great, the apartment very roomy for six. Would highly recommended the apartment and management company.

The place is situated in the most perfect spot. Beautiful big place in the middle of the happening area. Food right there. Men’s hair saloon right there. Pink street right there. Comfortable beds. Comfortable sitting area. Over all excellent. There are 45 steps to climb. Little hard for older person. Key check in was a little painful. Email were canned answers that get long and if you’re not focused then message can get confusing. But overall great. Will do it again. This place is a gem.

The lay out of this apartment was perfect for myself and 3 teenage girls. Location of apartment was excellent to all we wanted to do, be ready for climbing the hills but you can't really avoid that in Lisbon. The Management company for this property were very quick to respond to emails for the most part. Except no one addressed the problem of the stove not working the 3rd day we were there so we basically couldn't cook anything warm which is one of the main reasons you get an apartment versus a hotel. A few challenges. We were there for 8 nights and only got 1 set of towels. Would have been fine if we had a dryer but because we didn't washing them and having a dry towel was a challenge. Also both the showers leaked (one didn't have a proper seal along the tub and the other the shower head leaked over the shower door) so we constantly had to have extra towels on the floor so we didn't slip. There was barely enough toilet paper given to last us 24hrs along w 1 kitchen towel less than 1 roll of paper towels and no dish soap. The first night we blew a fuse and lost power because we used oven and washing machine at the same time. All good we learned that lesson fast. After speaking with the management company they explained Lisbon really didn't expect the tourist surge to pick up so fast so a lot of these issues had some to do w that. Overall a few hic ups that made it challenging at times but we love Lisbon and will definitely be back
