About this house rental
Our newest home River House is now available (STR permit #2016056024). We are experienced Homeaway/VRBO owners and hosts . If you have a large group, you can also rent our home right next door at the Cumberland Cottage. (Homeaway.com property #3957610).
We use VRBO homes when we travel, so we understand first hand what is expected, and what is needed at vacation rentals. We know just what you’re looking for, and we bend over backwards to deliver it!
The River House is tucked away on a quiet waterfront street that is steeped in history, with several famous old school Opry Stars living nearby. It's private and safe here. There is very little car traffic so it's great for walking around or riding bikes. We see deer, geese and turkey regularly. It's a special neighborhood with friendly folks. Yet, it’s just minutes from the famous Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and THE GRAND OLE OPRY. Within 4 miles there are over 2 dozen Restaurants & Nashville’s biggest Water Park. Downtown is only 15 minutes away, much closer than 95% of the waterfront homes in the greater Nashville Area. Two great golf courses are within 4 miles, uber and lyft are very familiar with the area, and traditional taxi service is not a problem.
Once you get here, you may not feel the need to leave. If you like to cook, you’ll find a well equipped kitchen, with all the pots, pans, and all small appliances of home. Outside on the deck there’s a gas grill ready for serious Bar-B-Q action.
Fresh, crispy linens are provided on each bed. White cotton towels are also provided.
Each morning you’ll enjoy your breakfast and complimentary coffee in the sun-filled dining room, or take a walk down the quiet lane and listen to the birds and the river.
During the day, Use the River House as your base of operations for exploring Nashville, or hang out in the POOL (open May 1 - October 15) and/or Hot tub! In the evening… enjoy the peace and quiet on two full-length front porches. When it’s time to turn in three of the bedrooms sports a king bed, the fourth bedroom features two queen beds. And, If you have a party of twelve, two deluxe inflatable twin mattresses are also available.
Other amenities include Washer & Dryer, Multiple HD TVs with Cable, Blu-Ray players, board games, and High-speed WiFi. All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. We provide coffee and some kitchen amenities. We go the extra mile for our guests and also provide eco-friendly bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. When you arrive, we can provide a greeter to help you settle into the property, or just leave you the door code prior to your stay. Just let us know what you need and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We arrive a few minutes before check in and the housekeeper was still there.Qe discovered that the all the rooms had not been vacuumed and bed linens not changed. Owner did give us a partial refund after we complained and he sent the cleaner back the following day. The red sofa in the living room has seen better days. The linens could also be updated. The house is large the kitchen and bathrooms are all updated. The pool is above ground with a deck built around it and we had to run the cleaner before using. There were corn hole games pro used and floaters for the pool. All in all it wasn't the best or the worst the space was great the cleaning and furniture could use some care.
