About this cottage rental
Charming vintage cottage sitting right on the water on west shore of Seneca Lake, NY, with private boat dock. Fully furnished, includes cable TV and WiFi. Seasonal. In the heart of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and just a short drive from Watkins Glen International Race Track. Reasonable rental rates, weekly or 3 night minimum (Spring & Fall). We are pet friendly with pre-approval. We are located 12 miles from Watkins Glen and Watkins Glen State Park. Centrally located within easy drive to Rochester, Syracuse, Corning and Ithaca & Elmira. Fully equipped kitchen; bath with shower; outdoor furniture, picnic table; fire pit. Bedrooms include double bed in 1, 2 singles in other, double sleeper sofa in living room. A NYS boat launch is located approximately 2.5 miles north of the cottage. We provide off street parking and room for your boat trailer.

This was a great cabin for a getaway! I would recommend an AWD vehicle for the driveway and definitely heed the warning about the steps. It is a LOT of steps. The cabin is very tiny as listed, but for a few adult women it's a good size. It is also in a little cove with about a dozen other houses. Each one is only about 5-10 feet apart, but otherwise the cove is private and would be great for kids to play in. The views are spectacular and the location can't be beat. Definitely plan to bring in your own drinking water and most of your supplies. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue. I would definitely recommend this place for a girl's trip!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet and really enjoyed sitting out on the dock and eating outside at the picnic table. Our host and hostess lived right next door, and were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The photo is the sunrise over the lake from our front door.

This cottage and lakefront are great. Be aware that there is no shade until 4pm. The stairs and having to unload on someone else's property were very difficult. The owner of the property was put off by this and had an attitude when I tried to thank him. I am a sensitive woman and pick up on the energy that surrounds me. It was tense. Although the owners were extremely competent, we felt like we were being watched everytime we were outside. Now, this is only my perspective, although my BF and family felt it too. We probably wouldn't rent again. The hosts did their part too well, if that makes sense.
