About this apartment rental
A Ocean Front apartment with a great view from the front balcony and now also from our new deck. For longer stays we are offering a very generous monthly discount. So extend your stay! This 2nd story 2 Bedroom and 2 Bath unit is a nice, tranquil, breezy apartment on a quiet little street in a gated neighborhood. It is within steps of the western end of the Isla Verde Beach and a sheltered cove. Also walking distance to wide, sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and a supermarket. The apartment is fully equipped and furnished. It has two bedrooms, including a large Master bedroom with a king size bed and two full bathrooms. Room A/C mini-split units in both bedrooms and also in the kitchen / living room area. In the cooler winter season (Nov - April), the apartment is great for just opening up the double doors in the living room and enjoying the ocean breeze and view. Also, a very big plus for our apt. is that it has solar powered battery back up so we keep going even if the grid should happen to go down. Other amenities include WiFi internet, and washer/dryer in the apt.. It is a non-smoking apartment. Relax on the balcony or in the living room enjoying the beautiful ocean views or sit in the shady patio garden or on our large deck. A short 2 minute walk to a sheltered cove, an excellent place for small children to play in the sand and shallow, calm waters. To get further down the beach where there are wider, sandy stretches, remember to bring good beach shoes to comfortably walk over some rocks along the way. Within a short walk of the apartment you have a wide variety of eating options including a small food truck park, some casual dining (Pollo Tropical and Paco's Diner), excellent bakeries ( Panaderia Espana), a very good breakfast /brunch place (Bistro Cafe) and excellent coffee (787 Coffee), great local food, including 'mofongo' (La Casita,), pizzerias, and other fine international restaurants including Argentinian steak houses, Peruvian ceviche, and Italian. And if you feel like cooking your own meal, a supermarket is just down the road (Supermax).

Beautiful cove that we enjoyed every day. We didn't love the Isla Verde area so much, but it was centrally located to many things we wanted to do. John the host was wonderful, and he was attentive to any question or issue we had.

Overall a great experience... with the apartment, with the host, with the food, the coffee(!), the sights and the weather! We travelled to John's place in late January and the weather turned out to be perfect all week!The apartment was exactly as described. Clean and well-equipped. The beds were super comfortable. The location is great and central. Ubers arrived in 5 minutes or less!Local restaurants and grocery stores provided excellent food and convenient (on foot) access to provisions.The area is, for the most part, quiet... and very safe. We felt completely at ease walking out for a drink, even late at night.John is an excellent host - friendly and very communicative. He is easily accessible as he lives in another apartment in the small, 4-apartment building.Overall an excellent experience! Thank you John!A quick note:There is a public bench located across the road near the beach, that seems to be a "social hangout" at night. During our stay (one week), there were people out there talking very loudly almost every night - and at all hours - so we couldn't sleep with the windows open in the Master Bedroom (which was such a shame with the ocean right there!), and needed to use white-noise apps to not be disturbed in the night. This isn't something the owner can control, but it is worth mentioning in case there is something that can be done to move that bench somewhere else!Overall though, a perfect stay with a perfect host!

It is 5 star!! The host was very accommodating, we arrived late and he waited for us to get there… he gave great advice on places to go… the back yard was its own tropical paradise with some great views of the ocean . The house was roomy and comfortable… sitting on the Maranda drinking coffee in the mornings listening to the waves was great!
