About this house rental
Original 1900 Victorian home, updated in 2006, located in the historic Copeland District just one block from the beach. Three story home boasts decks and wrap around porch with ocean views from each. Five large bedrooms, spacious living room with French doors that open to the large wrap-around porch. Enjoy relaxing meals in the formal dining room and eat-in kitchen. Rec room in basement includes stone dry bar and 55' wide screen TV. Original wood paneling throughout. Fenced in back yard for privacy, perfect for post-beach barbecues. On Waban Park. 5 minute walk to town and Back Door Donuts; 1 minute hop, skip or jump to Oak Bluffs town beach/Inkwell.

Overall: great location - walking distance to everything (beach, shops, marina, restaurants, ferry).Very cool, charming historic home - loved the dining room, living room, front porch, outdoor balconies, and bedrooms. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the necessities (dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, etc.), modern stove and fridge, but it needs updating (cabinets, sink, floor, kitchen table), as well as the downstairs bathroom. The "game room" is a bit dusty and dank. I definitely appreciated the beach umbrella and chairs provided. While we didn't utilize the back yard much, there is a nice set of Adirondack chairs and low table to hang out at, in addition to a wooden, round table and chairs to eat outside. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

We had a wonderful stay...plenty of room for all. A bit cold the first couple of nights...didn't know how to put heat on. Location, location...next to everything. My host was wonderful. The second floor toilet was not working and I reached out and Kendall got right back to me. Only one key worked. That was the one in the lock box which we used all weekend. There was a second set of car keys with a house key hanging on kitchen hook. This did not fit in the lock, so we just shared one. We loved out stay. It was a bit expensive but close to the beach and Oak Bluffs "happenings" which was great. Thank you, Tracy Nadeau

My family stayed for 2 weeks in this very comfortable beach house. It is in the perfect location and had everything we needed to make this a wonderful vacation. It has an older beach house vibe and was what I loved most about it. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended
