M/S Esmeralda Nile Cruise - 4 or 7 Nights From Luxor each Monday and 03 Nights From Aswan each Friday

We had a really excellent trip along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. The room was fantastic with great space and views of the river. When arrived we had a welcome gift of fruit and a free mini bar from the boat company which was very much appreciated as we were able to take drinks with us on our tours of the temples throughout the stay. Each day the room was serviced and we were left a little treat like chocolate or a snack, again this was a very lovely thought. The food onboard was delicious and there was plenty of choice. The chef, sorry we can’t remember your name, was such a nice guy and so professional. Food and hygiene standards were very high and the salad bar was excellent. Each meal time we were greeter by Mahmood who took good care of us. Karim who is the restaurant manager is outstanding in his customer service and guest hospitality. He’s a really lovely gentleman with a lovely smile who greeted us each day. The boat is well maintained and has a sun deck where you can chill for the sailing part of the cruise with a good book. We booked the sightseeing tour for the cruise which was superb. Hanny our guide was an absolute star, always looking out for our well-being and discussing arrangements with the boat. He’s a really lovely chap with exceptional knowledge and we enjoyed our visits with him. He really made the trip special. The last thank you goes to the rest of the crew and the boat manager who took great care of us. Thank you all for a lovely trip.

You need to know that by booking through booking. .com you are not booking directly with the boat but through an agent. The agents communication is not great and they don’t tell you timings or give you any information before 24 hours before you board. This meant we didn’t know when we should book flights and ended up costing us more money on an overnight stay in Aswan and Luxor, which wasn’t necessary. The agent is bad at responding to messages and confirming details. The boat would be better dealing direct with customers and cutting them out for the benefit of their guests. The agents did organise the tour guide, Hany, who was superb but again we didn’t get any details of the tour till the very last minute for the agent. Thankfully when we met Hanny none of the poor communication from the tour company was an issue any more.

Best Nile Cruise! I Highly recommend this experience. We booked the cruise by booking.com and sightseeings direct with the cruise agent. We were very worried about this trip as we did not have a lot of information regarding destiny, but now we are back home we can tell EVERYTHING was beyond our expectations. The ship is beautiful, all the staff is worried to provide their best. We had an upgrade to a suite including bathub and additional services and received a lot of details every day including a romantic dinner in top deck! Food was exquisite, I am vegetarian and the Cheff prepared some dishes specially for me. Also Important to say is that sightseeings were with highly experienced tourist guides! Special thanks to Ship Manager, Maitre and Cheff (I'm so sorry I lost my notes where I had pointed their names) and also for tourist Guides Tony Adel and Salma Khairt.

Nothing to complain about! I Highly recommend Esmeralda and hope to have the opportunity to go back soon.

We were celebrating our anniversary. We travelled on June 19-23 room 302. Out stay exceeded our expectations. We were really taken care of by everyone on this ship. Outstanding service and attention to details. Our special Thank you goes to the manager Mr. Ahmed. He was truly amazing and offered us an upgrade for a special occasion. Chef Ahmed made delicious food for us everyday, Mr. Kareem, the restaurant manager was very attentive and arranged for a special anniversary dinner. Cleaning staff made our room with nice decoration from bathroom towels. We loved every minute on this ship and will be back.

Convenient for visiting temples and cities along the Nile river

Food quality is very bad, always the same things but with different ingredients. You can only have the or coffee at breakfast (looks like cappuccino is a mystery for them). Drinks are not included but at least one bottle of water would have been appreciated. If you agree to the sightseeing package be ready to tip all the drivers for each visit you do (you’re forced to). Overall experience was bad, under my expectations.
