About this cabin rental
Fully furnished vacation cottage, located on the lower Wisconsin Riverway. UNWIND by taking a short walk down our path to our private Wisconsin River shoreline. RELAX, have a seat and feel the calm of the river flowing while you enjoy a fire in the pit and take in the sunset. Pause by the pond fed by an artesian spring trickling over the rock ledges. Think deeply as you walk the labyrinth. Identify the species of birds in the sanctuary or catch a glimpse of eagles, white pelicans, geese, turtles, deer and much more. ENJOY the creation around you.
Originally, this cottage was an Army officer's barracks at Truax Field, Madison, WI during WWII. It was moved to this Wisconsin River location in the 1970s. A family lived here until it was renovated in 2006 as a vacation rental.

Clean comfortable house. Only issue was the internet was too weak and slow to allow us to use any streaming service on the TV.

This was a great girls weekend get away. We pick properties that specifically have a firepit outside. This place was extra special because the firepit was along the wisconsin river. The wildlife was an extra bonus. We had a blast. This property was a great fit for our need this weekend and would definitely come back someday. The cabin was exactly as posted. Everything met expectations.Travis responded to all of our questions quickly. He even allowed us to check in early which was a bonus.

The cottage was clean, updated, great amenities, and we loved it! Travis, the host, was great to communicate with. It was a short walk down to see the off-shoot of the Wisconsin River. We loved our stay!
