I had arrived here and did Not realize that the room I had reserved was so small I could barely even get my luggage in the room.. . So I sat in the room for about a hour and reserved a room at a hotel near by and when I emailed them they told me they would not refund my reservation because they said the room was "dirty" Again all I did was sit on the end of the bed for about a hour and left.

The Zenith Basecamp is well-located and next to some of the best cideries and restaurants in the area. That’s great and the place was clean and seemed quiet. I only ever saw 1 couple when I was there. But, I was given no instructions before check-in and had no idea what to do. I never got any communication or acknowledgement from Basecamp staff. I ended up having to ask the clerk at the adjoining retail store how to find my room. She doesn’t work for Basecamp but was able to tell me where to park, where my room was, made me room keys, etc. She said she helps out when she can. Considering she acted as a front desk clerk and the actual staff was totally MIA and wouldn’t have known if I’d even checked in or not, I feel like they’re taking advantage of neighboring staff. Also, the kitchenette only had a mini-fridge. I was the only one staying downstairs so maybe there are more facilities upstairs but I was at a different hostel for 2 nights before for this stay that had a full-size communal fridge, toiletries and towels provided and was cheaper. So I don’t think the value is quite there either.
