    Location great, plenty of surrounding choice for restaurants & cafes. Room basic, clean, bed ok, zero sleep due to outside noise. Parking recommended on website good & nearby although not clear on website to book through hotel prior for parking discount code.

    This hotel is right in the middle of the cbd, about 50m from a tram stop in the free tram zone. Restaurants, convenient stores and retail shops are right at your door step. Staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel because one other reviews said it was a little gem. It's a little gem that needs a bit of TLC, but a little gem nonetheless. We stayed there twice during our week in Melbourne. Our first room (416) was quite small and dark, with views on internal walls. It was very quiet. There were a few things that were not working (light bulb, fridge that froze all our food, no kitchen dish towel) but this was resolved very quickly. We got an upgrade for our second stay (room 502) with much more light and space and a beautiful view of the city. Both room were very clean, except maybe for a few spiderwebs on the high windows. It's a bit of a quirky place, but if you are looking for simple accommodation and are not too fussy, this is the absolute best location and best value for money. We would gladly recommend this hotel and happily stay there again. Thank you YTI staff.

    Great location for a budget overnight stay with a very short walk to convince store, bottle shop, beautiful restaurants with all different cuisines. Complete with soap, body wash and dishwashing liquid. Crockery, cutlery, glassware, fridge and hotplates.

    Room small, no opening window & only window was frosted type in bathrm. Friend I shared with did not want aircon running whilst sleeping (if had put it on whilst out might have helped). So old it had a 2 burner solid metal electric cooktop yet no exhaust! However beds were comfy & had no street noise or from nearby rooms. Okay for 1 nights sleep but need to put on aircon for some air intake. Handy location near Elizabeth St. & Hardware Lane.
