    Clean, simple but very elegant for a 3 star hotel.

    This was my second time staying at this hotel, and it continues to be a great choice. As usual, the hotel was clean and well maintained. I arrived early and wasn't able to check in yet, but the hotel provided lockers where I could safely store my luggage while I explored the area. That was a very convenient service. When I stayed here in 2023, breakfast was complimentary. This time, breakfast was no longer included, so we had to pay for it separately. Even so, I felt it was worth the price as the quality was good. The location is excellent. Situated in the heart of Arashiyama, it's only about a two-minute walk to the river, and many of the area's popular attractions are within walking distance. The only downside is the room size. It was extremely small and couldn't comfortably accommodate two medium-sized suitcases. Compared to my previous stay, I also noticed that the lobby has been downsized. In addition, guests are no longer allowed to consume outside food in the lobby or common areas. Since the room was already quite cramped, we had no choice but to eat the food we bought inside our small room, which wasn't very comfortable. Overall, I had another enjoyable stay. Despite the smaller room and changes to the lobby, I would still happily return because of the hotel's excellent location, cleanliness, and convenience.

    The staff was TOP TIER! I work in hospitality and everyone at YADO were experts at making you feel welcome. The rooms were so spacious and luxurious for the price. I will be staying here again and recommending everyone I know! I loved the area as well. Sleepy and quiet Arashiyama was a nice break so thank you, YADO!!!

    3rd time staying at arashiyama. This is my fav hotel I’ve stayed at so far with a very decent price point. And yes breakfast was amazing! Book it you won’t regret it
