My stay at Wyndham Istanbul Old City was a disastrous experience. I booked a quadruple room, but upon arrival, I was given a room for two with two sofa beds that were extremely uncomfortable. I also booked a room with a city view, but I was placed in a room on the basement floor without a window or air conditioning, they made me wait seven hours at the reception, and the staff told me to deal with my travel agency and offered no help.

I travelled there with my daughter. The staff were friendly and considerate. Very helpful, all I had to do was ask. Breakfast was good, not a traditional euro type buffet.

I booked the room with a filter car park available. When I arrived at night, they told me that they did not have a parking space however roadside parking was available with a third party and asked for 20 Euros per day. They told that there is a mistake in the hotel listing in agoda and they definitely do not have free or paid parking. Additionally breakfast was not enough at all. The roof top restaurant did not have enough shades to sit and the food was moderate. Coffee was awful and the variety and taste of food was not good at all. I was expecting more professional staff around while the employees did not seem neat and professional.

Disappointed started the time we stepped inside the hotel. After 14 hours flight we reached the hotel only to find out that the floor where our room was situated is broken. So they gona shift us to another property for a night. We politely asked them to show us the broken room, on which they denied the request. And showed us a video ( allegedly which they show to other traveled when they overbook). We requested them to transfer us to a property of equal value - but they denied. We asked for compensation for that night, they denied, we asked to transfer us to other hotel as we couldn’t walk - they again denied. They are like mob of gangsters trying to humiliate tourists. We finding no other choice, had to spend night to another hotel, they sent a bell boy though who helped us to transfer our luggage there. That girl on the reception, I don’t know her name I think shella - I requested her to connect me to higher manger - she said that I am the highest manager here. They claiming to be a 5 star property, but you can easily give less than 1 star to their staff behaviour (which you can confirm by reading other reviews). Single piece of advice, if you are reading this review, don’t book here!
