    Our stay at White Rock Resort Pakchong was extremely disappointing and we were unable to stay the night. The biggest issue was cleanliness. Upon entering the room, there was visible mold on the curtains covering the sliding glass door, which is also the main entrance to the room. This alone made the room unacceptable. In addition, the floor was sticky, the room was very dusty, and overall hygiene was well below any reasonable standard. The bathroom condition was poor, with tiles covered in mold and severely damaged grout. Facilities were outdated, with very minimal furniture (only one cupboard), and the bed was simply a mattress placed on elevated flooring. While the price was ***, basic hygiene and cleanliness should still be upheld. Low cost does not justify low standards, especially when mold is involved. There was also a safety concern — the sliding door lock was not functioning properly, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable staying overnight. We immediately raised these concerns with the staff on site. Only guards and the manager were present, and assistance was minimal. While we were told a refund was not possible due to peak season (which we understood), there was no acknowledgment or concern expressed regarding the condition of the room itself. Because of the mold and overall state of the room, we had no choice but to return the key and leave the property the same day. Lastly, this is a clear case of false advertising. The photos shown on Agoda do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the room. This experience has seriously affected our trust in Agoda listings. I strongly advise other travelers to be cautious.
