    The hotel was reasonably priced considering the location in Brighton. Check in was professional and efficient. The room exceeded my expectation. Large with a partial sea view. The bed was big and comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee. There isn't a television in the room, this doesn't bother me but something to bear in mind. Breakfast was surprisingly plentiful, as I paid for breakfast included it was good value. The location is a little noisy as it's a busy area with lots of restaurants and bars. But again, to be expected. The only problem we encountered was that there wasn't any hot water on arrival or in the morning. During check out we were informed that there was a problem. This should have been pointed out when we arrived and some form of compensation would have been welcomed for the inconvenience. Overall I wouldn't hesitate in staying again and apart from the water issue we had a great stay.

    Not the best stay here, when we turned up at 4 we were shown to the room only to find a random man in there, he just stood and stared at us not speaking, then eventually said Im here to unclog your toilet and that he will be back in 5 minutes, why this wasn’t done in the ample time before the room was meant to be ready by 3pm, there was also no notification from reception that there was a plumbing issue or that there was a member of staff in our room! Not ideal as my friend desperately needed to pump her breast milk and didn’t feel comfortable doing it with a man present! The room itself was clean for the most part but the next issue was in the morning there was no hot water, I left the shower running for ages and still nothing, we then called reception who just said, oh yeah a few people said that they have the same issue, a plumber is coming but the water won’t be fixed until after you check out. I wouldn’t stay here again and we heard a few other guests complaining as well. When we told reception about our issues with the man in the room and the hot water, they just said “oh thats weird” ???
