We booked this accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights. Since we arrived in Baguio early, we decided to check in ahead of schedule and paid an additional ₱120 per hour, totaling ₱480 for 4 hours of early check-in.
Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from the moment we entered the room. We were welcomed by cockroaches and visible molds in several areas. Even the bedsheets raised concerns about their cleanliness. Despite these conditions, we still tried to make the most of our stay because we badly needed some rest and sleep after our early arrival.
However, the problems did not end there. The room had very poor sound insulation. We could clearly hear footsteps, loud television sounds from the adjacent room, and practically everything happening in the neighboring rooms. Privacy was also a major concern. The window was not tinted, and the curtains were thin and moldy, making us feel exposed rather than comfortable.
The most concerning part was the effect the room had on my health. I started experiencing frequent sneezing, shortness of breath that signaled the onset of an asthma attack, and a feeling of warmth on my skin. Given the widespread visible mold in the room, I became concerned that the indoor environment was aggravating my symptoms.
We initially tried to tolerate these conditions, but after only two hours inside the accommodation, we decided that our health and comfort were more important and chose to leave.
Regarding the payment, the management returned the ₱480 early check-in fee, but we were not refunded for the accommodation payment covering the full 3 days and 2 nights, despite leaving after just two hours because of the conditions we encountered.
We booked this accommodation expecting a clean, safe, and comfortable place to rest during our Baguio trip. Instead, we were left dealing with unsanitary conditions, excessive noise, lack of privacy, and health concerns.
Paying for accommodation should guarantee at least the basic standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. Paying extra for early check-in should mean being able to enjoy the room earlier, not having to compromise on these basic expectations.
This experience fell far below our expectations. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, particularly the sanitation issues and the potential health risks posed by the visible molds. Future guests deserve a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay.
