We had a pleasant stay at Velvet Revive, Munnar. The property is quite decent, and the staff hospitality was really good – they were supportive and made our stay comfortable.
However, we faced one concern during check-in. While booking through Agoda, it was clearly mentioned that the package included my family members, and I booked accordingly. But upon arrival, we were informed about additional charges. It seemed like a communication gap between Agoda and the hotel management, which can be disappointing for customers.
Also, the property is a bit far from the main tourist places, so planning travel in advance is helpful.
Apart from this, the overall experience was good and comfortable.

The good part is rooms are clean and neat. Location and view from the balcony is good.
However food service is pathetic. No proper Breakfast. Lesser menu options for dinner and still not good in taste. I believe they don't have proper kitchen in their resort.

There are many good and reasonably priced hotels in Munnar with much better locations. The main concern with this property is its accessibility. The road leading to the hotel is quite scary, with a very steep and narrow single-entry slope. Most drivers complain about the approach road. This could also be the reason the hotel does not share proper photos of the surrounding area.
Our experience was disappointing. We did not get water for bathing in the morning. The property does not give a resort-like feeling and appears to still be under construction. There is inadequate lighting throughout the premises.
It is not suitable for elderly guests. My father slipped in the bathroom because the tiles are extremely slippery. Safety standards seem poor. The hotel is understaffed, with only 2–3 people managing everything, and there is no visible security.
If Agoda’s pricing algorithm shows a higher rate, it is definitely not worth it. Only consider this property if it is available at a very low budget price.
Also, Agoda is just a booking platform. In case of issues, they do not provide much assistance and typically state that they are only an intermediary connecting buyers and selller , Agoda will cry that they cannot help , they seems to helpless themselves. No customer centric approach by Agoda at there business cire values , neither it seems thier business Vision is to help Customers. They are just like any other Agent who care about ther own commission that's all
