    It’s located on level 3, away from the crowd and noise. The toilet has 5 shared cubicles and do not come with shower facilities. They are also a walk away. The pod can get stuffy so we opened the door a little before sleeping. Only one card is provided so my partner and I took turns to freshen up.

    Our itinerary required us to arrive late and get up early for a 5:40 am flight ,(Hanoi to Danang). We originally booked a nearby hotel but just didn't want to worry about getting to the terminal at 4am. The sleep pods worked for us. I am 2m tall and the beds were long enough for me. On the downside, the restroom is down the hall, and no towels are provided but I did find 2 wipes in the room later when I no longer needed them. After checking in we found out that our flight was cancelled and we were moved to an afternoon flight so we didn't really need the pods after all. But we had upgraded our ticket to business class for a mere $10-15 and were allowed to enjoy breakfast, brunch, and lunch in the very nice Lotus Lounge and could have showered there if needed. So it all worked out.

    Sometimes travel plans go sideways — and sometimes those moments lead to surprisingly good decisions. Our train tickets from Hanoi to Hue were cancelled at the last minute despite booking them months ahead. With hotels and walking tours already paid for in Hue, flying suddenly became the only realistic option. That meant a 7am flight and the classic dilemma: stay another night in the city and wake up painfully early… or try the VATC Sleep Pod at Hanoi Airport. We decided to give the sleep pod a go. Best decision ever. From the moment we checked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman who assisted us walked us through everything in the pod and explained the amenities clearly, which immediately made the experience feel easy and comfortable. Now let’s talk about the pod itself. First — cleanliness. Yes, it was clean. Properly clean. Second — comfort. I slept. Properly slept. The pod had everything we needed: • Carpeted interior • Air-conditioning and a fan • Hooks for bags and jackets • Drinks and snacks available • Toothbrush kits • Charging stations (important — I even used my CPAP machine with no issues) • Enough height so you don’t feel claustrophobic Is it spacious? Of course not. It’s a pod, not a penthouse suite — but it’s thoughtfully designed and surprisingly comfortable for a few hours of rest. The two small things worth mentioning: 1. No showers 2. The nearest toilet is about a 300-meter walk (my friend has a very keen eye for measurements) But honestly? For a short overnight rest before an early flight, those were very minor issues. Some common questions people ask: Was it noisy? Not really. You’re inside the terminal, so you don’t hear planes roaring past. Can people see you? Only if you leave the blinds open. If you close them, it’s completely private. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat. Rolling out of bed and walking straight to the check-in counter with zero stress about traffic jams or early-morning taxi drama is priceless. If you need a few hours of sleep between flights or before an early departure, the VATC Sleep Pod is a surprisingly good option. Sometimes the backup plan turns out to be the smart plan.
