Some people don't need a room! I travel solo often and I usually expect to be outside of my hotel. A bed, a common space to have as a home base and som clean bathrooms/showers. Would rather spend my money on exploring the city than on some extra floor space. A little less privacy than a regular hotel of course, but moreso than a traditional hostel. Urban Inn checked all the boxes for me. Would definitely stay again!

The pods weren’t too hot, lighting choices and power adapter built into the pod is convenient and fan is helpful. Common areas can be quite loud so not the best for phone calls and working. Sleeping/pod areas can also be quite loud up until 2am, we heard lots of sudden noise such as whistling, yelling, TV noise, etc. But great place to stay when you’re touring/backpacking in Madrid.

Agoda should ensure that the accommodation providers on this site provide pictures of their ‘rooms’. The name Urban Inn Madrid is misleading. If you like Japanese style capsule accommodation, then this is for you. Ok for backpackers but no good for travelling couples. The staff were excellent and the shared bathroom was good but the sleeping arrangements are the WORSE we’ve ever had to endure.
