    Overall my stay was lovely, room was clean and very stylish, bathtub was great. All staff were extremely kind, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was disappointing though and not what I expected of a 5 star hotel. Only allowed to order one thing off the menu even if it was just fruit and one drink. All 5 star hotels I have stayed in, have the fruits and and unlimited drinks in the morning and cereal with one hot made to order dish included. The hot food that was served was very average, the toast in particular on each day was so hard I literally couldn't saw it down with my knife. I also expected there to be USB ports at least in the rooms, I understand the theme and style of the room is to be old fashioned, but even economy trains have USB ports now, so the hotel needs to upgrade its tech in each room to be 5 star.

    I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon check-in, I was informed that a £50 security deposit would be secured on my card, but instead, I was charged again for the room. Despite raising the issue with the front desk and being assured it was an error that would be corrected, the funds remained pending for an extended period in my bank account. I contacted the hotel multiple times after my stay, but no one bothered to respond. I called reception to ask for a manager’s contact details, and was given Pawel’s contacts, who also did not respond to me. It’s incredibly frustrating that they were quick to double charge me but did not have the decency to respond to my correspondence. The lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, the room we were given did not match the booking—advertised as having a king-sized bed, but we were placed in a suite with a double bed. The bath tap and shower were also malfunctioning, which added to the overall frustration. I would not recommend this hotel due to their unprofessional handling of the situation and lack of basic customer service. What could have been an easily fixable mistake has turned into an ongoing hassle. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.
