TheBlanc Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem if you want to be right in the heart of the action. The location is phenomenal—literally right at the entrance of Jonker Street and the Night Market, putting countless food options and local sights within easy walking distance. Our room was wonderfully spacious and clean, and it was a nice bonus to have access to the free rooftop social area, even though it can get quite warm up there. A major perk for drivers is the free parking, though there are a few operational tips worth noting. Sheltered lots are limited, and while the open-air lots were mostly vacant during our stay, availability might tighten when the hotel is fully booked. The car park is secured with a remote issued by the receptionist. For check-in, my recommendation is to pull up and park along the roadside briefly, collect the remote, and then head to the car park located about 200 meters away. It is a relatively short walk back, but do exercise caution if you are traveling with young children, as there is no proper pedestrian crossing along the route. For check-out, a great timesaver is to simply return the remote to the receptionist and arrange for them to open the gate for you remotely from the front desk, saving you an extra trip back on foot after exiting the car park. There are a few minor trade-offs to consider depending on who you are traveling with. If you have kids, note that the bathrooms feature only a fixed rainshower with no handheld shower head, which can make bath time a bit challenging. The room also does not come with a smart TV. Lastly, because of the prime location right by the main road and night market, expect a bit of lively noise at night from the surrounding music and street activity. Overall, a comfortable and highly convenient stay if you prioritize location and space. We would happily stay here again!

Location it right at the tourists location, right beside the night market. Only 1 lift serving the hotel but functional. Lobby is decorated warmly and staff are friendly. Downside is if you're a light sleeper, you may be affected by the noise from the night market if your room is facing the street. There tend to be many tourists conveniently resting in the lobby during the night market nights too (which may or may not be pleasant depending on your personal preference).

Very disappointing stay. The hotel had no electricity and no water from around 2:30 AM to 8:00 AM. We had to check out early because it was impossible to stay comfortably. What was most frustrating was that the hotel gave no announcement or updates. Guests were left waiting without any explanation or support. We paid for a stay we couldn't enjoy. Poor communication and poor management.
