During my recent stay, I encountered several issues that made the experience very uncomfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was not working, and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it. There was no bottled water provided in the room, and after the bar closed, there were no staff available in the hotel. I wanted to buy water after 10:00 PM, but the front doors were locked. The only way out was through the back door, but I was not given the door code at check-in, which left me unable to get water for the entire night. Additionally, the WiFi was not working throughout my stay. Overall, I was very disappointed with the lack of basic amenities and poor customer service.

The room I stayed in was great and the refreshments were great as well. I did encounter a problem with the coffee machine, but I received helpful advice on how to use it properly. Overall, my experience was very positive, and it was convenient to have a Tesco nearby for any necessities.

Pro's the pub/hotel has a great selection of ales and has a good location for Hucknall.
Cons Room was not completely clean and had an old hairpin on bedside shelf. When booked i appreciated that it was not enough suite. After a busy day I was looking forward to a shower,however, there was hardly any water pressure and it was only tepid. The bathroom was rudimentary. In the evening I asked for a food menu and was told it was limited ie pizza or nachos. When I booked I thought the hotel would have abasic menu of some sorts. My son and partner arrived and we ordered 3 pizzas. We did not get the 10% discount and they were of poor quality, unfortunately we had to ask 2 times to replace a pizza as it had the wrong topping. I asked if there was anything I could get in the morning for breakfast and the bar manger I presume told me no and to go th Wetherspoons! Great idea send all your customers there and lose business. In the guide in my room it clearly states a breakfast bag is left outside ever guests room. Nothing for my room...oh well go to Witherspoon!! This could be a great pub/ hotel but my impression is no-one is in charge and the staff are not really bothered with customer service.
