    Definitely big on hen parties. Quirky and extravagant decor, bit of an issue with air con which doesn't quite cut the mustard on hot days. Rooftop bar could do with being pimped up but it’s a spacious area. You NEED photo ID to check in and a bank card. Good location.

    I was really excited about this stay as it was a special occasion but several issues left me feeling deflated and disappointed. I was dismayed to find that the double room was simply two single beds pushed together, leaving a visible and uncomfortable divide. Additionally, the pillows were flat and of substandard quality. The room did not feel adequately clean, with noticeable dust around the tables and on the bathroom floor. The corridor was extremely noisy throughout the night, causing us to awaken several times and greatly affecting our ability to rest. There were no notable amenities provided in the room beyond basic instant coffee and tea sachets, akin to what you might find in a budget hotel like a Travelodge. This felt especially disappointing for a hotel of the Shankleys great reputation and pricing.
