Incredible hotel right on the water, the perfect location for a two-day stay over 4th of July weekend. The setting and charm are hard to beat.
That said, the hotel was packed, which showed. Common areas felt a little unkempt at times, the game room, for instance, seemed to have dirty plates sitting out every time I walked past. The price was also steep for the weekend, and at that level I'd have expected a higher standard of service.
Still, the location and charm win out. I'll be back.

Very enjoyable, but unfortunate that we did not get our room until 5 PM.
Restaurant menu on small side and head run out of a couple items. But very nice.

This is my third time visiting shelter island but the pridwin is probably the best I’ve stayed. The hotel is right on the sunset beach. The location is a little far from the ferry but house chauffeur and bikes are available. Every staff here is very helpful and friendly, especially the manager Amos he is amazing! Will definitely come back again
