A great breakfast is served at Gusto Restaurant, the buffet blends Filipino and Western choices . Local favourites include tapa, longganisa, and warm soup, while Western options cover scrambled eggs, sausages, bread, and pastries. The spread is fresh, flavourful, and suits different tastes; many guests praise its quality and value .

The hotel is only a few minutes away from Cauayan airport. The rooms are clean and roomy. The bathroom is modern with hot showers! no tabotabo ! ! The staff are very professional and attentive to your requests! This is the third time we have stayed here!

Maximillian Hotel will always be our go-to accommodation whenever work brings us to the far province of Isabela. This is our second stay, and once again, it did not disappoint! After long, exhausting days of work, nothing beats coming back to a comfortable room with a good bed, soft pillows, and a clean, well-appointed toilet and bath with excellent water pressure. These may seem like simple things, but when you’ve been on your feet all day, they make all the difference. One thing I particularly appreciate when choosing a hotel is the presence of an in-room safety deposit box. I like knowing that our valuables are secure even when we need to leave the room. Daily housekeeping is another plus, with clean towels, fresh slippers, and a well-maintained room throughout our stay. Breakfast is also a good way to start the day. While the spread is satisfying, I hope the hotel can offer more Filipino breakfast favorites, such as danggit, dilis, and adobong manok, instead of relying too heavily on sausages, ham, and tocino. I also appreciate seeing a live cooking station where eggs and omelets are prepared fresh upon request. These little touches make the breakfast experience more enjoyable. Another feature worth mentioning is the hotel’s coffee shop, which serves authentic Starbucks coffee—a welcome treat for coffee lovers like us! I was particularly impressed by the staff’s thoughtfulness and customer service. We raised a minor concern during our stay, which turned out to be just a simple glitch and really wasn’t something we considered a major issue. Nevertheless, the front desk staff offered us two complimentary vouchers as an apology. What surprised me even more was that, after breakfast, they approached me again to apologize and personally handed over the vouchers. That extra effort to make things right was genuinely appreciated. It’s not always about the problem itself, but how a hotel makes its guests feel afterward. Kudos to the team for their attentiveness and hospitality! Although the hotel is approximately 40 minutes away from our event venue in Ilagan, we actually found the location convenient for our particular needs. We had to make several trips to SM City Cauayan to purchase supplies and last-minute requirements for the Air Supply Live Concert at The Capital Arena in Ilagan. In fact, even while I was still at the hotel, my husband called to ask me to purchase something else from the music store at SM City Cauayan. Thankfully, I hadn’t left yet and was able to find the guitar stands they urgently needed. That’s event production for you—there’s always something else that needs to be sourced, checked, or delivered, sometimes right up to the last minute! Behind every successful concert is a team working tirelessly behind the scenes, attending to every detail and doing everything possible to meet the producer’s and director’s requirements. My husband and his team at Chrisney Lights & Sounds, together with Baguio Reinforcement, had their hands full making sure every technical requirement was met and that the lights and sounds setup was worthy of an iconic act like Air Supply. The demands can be relentless, the pressure intense, and the working hours long. But when everything comes together and the show is delivered successfully, the satisfaction makes all the hard work worthwhile. And after all the late hours, the endless requests, and the eventual pack-up, it is truly comforting to know that we have a clean, comfortable, and excellent room waiting for us. We could finally rest and recharge before facing the seven-hour drive back home to Pampanga. It was a beautiful and successful event, and we were proud to have been part of bringing the Air Supply Live Concert in Ilagan to life. I came back to this hotel because my first experience was a blast and everything was exceptional. This time around, two years later, the cleanliness and attention to detail (smell and in plain view) were off-putting. I am currently staying here, I will request for some adjustment with staff and will come back for an update.
