    I am a clean freak, but this room was spotless, beyond my expectations.

    My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Union Square for 4 days and it turned into a nightmare. The staff were present enough at first though a bit lazy and curt. As the days passed they became increasingly hostile and even outright lied to us several times about subjects involving work on their end. When I complained they became outright hostile and then refused to honor our last days booking even though it was already paid for. To add to that the maids went through one of our suitcases during one of the morning turndown services and barely seemed to clean the room. We will never stay there again and I would recommend you spend your money at any of the other very pleasant and reputable hotels in San Francisco.
