    We really enjoyed our 2 night stay! Staff was very nice, bed was comfy and the a.c was cold! I have to say out of all things I really liked that the air condition was so cold! I wanted to visit the roof top bad but did not get to. We plan to stay here again and next time visit the roof top bar!

    We arrived in the middle of a storm and the staff was great. It was raining hard and the wind was insane! They explained exactly where to park and answered all of our questions. The room was clean and comfortable. The faucet in the bathroom leaked, but other than that the room was good. When we returned in the evening from Beale Street, the elevator was not working. So we did have to climb 10 flights of stairs, (so we got our cardio workout for the day), and by the time we got up in the morning, the elevator was fixed. The staff apologized several times for the inconvenience. They were so nice and caring. All in all it was a nice stay.

    The Hu appears to have been a sleek, modern hotel when it opened or when they last decorated. It needs updating/cleaning. The painted floor hasn't been maintained. If painted floor is your look, you REALLY have to stay on top of it. The really cool linen light fixtures are stained. The bulbs and the ceiling in the elevators need cleaning. Janky, too-short electric cords in the room and naked, bright light bulbs just sticking out of the modern bedside light fixtures just cheapen the whole experience. The front desk area looks thrown together and in the evening the music in the lobby (played over what looks like a pool-side speaker on the coffee counter where nobody is working) is too loud and inappropriate for the image that I THINK a hotel like this wants to portray. Just substandard.
