My wife & I explored the Great Wall in Badaling and spent 3 nights in this hostel for the location. It didn’t disappoint for our primary intention. But what’s more was that the Great Wall Courtyard Hostel was in itself a delight! The hosts - auntie & her husband - were so kind. They assisted us around, including a ride to the Ski Resort, the Great Wall drop off point, and more. They offered free bottled water & soda whenever we get thirsty and for us to take to our daily trips. The place is lovely with local decors including Chinese lanterns, antique furnitures, and a homey atmosphere. All the facilities are functional - they even have heated wooden floors. My wife & I loved their food - wanton or noodle soup, pumpkin bun, rice toppings & fresh fruits. We would definitely book again should we be fortunate to visit Badaling again in the future. We suggest you try this hostel too!

Privacy is a good consideration, the room is right inside the living hall, suggest to add extra double layer curtain for both bedroom and bathroom

it is very close to great wall like walking distance. staff was good only need translator for phone. But it is very unconveniences location from airport or central Beijin.
