Booked 2 rooms at Belita Hotel, Indore for a family stay after seeing good reviews and photos online. To be fair, the location, rooms, and cleanliness met expectations.
However, the overall experience was severely disappointing due to extremely poor management and service.
After a long journey, we were informed that lunch was not available because “chefs were not available” — completely unacceptable for a functioning hotel. Basic room service was painfully slow; even simple items like tea and bread-butter took nearly an hour and required multiple follow-ups.
What’s worse, the in-house restaurant and breakfast services were non-functional, despite us booking rooms with breakfast included. The so-called breakfast, ordered in-room, arrived after more than 1 hour 15 minutes — defeating the entire purpose.
This is not a failure of the ground staff — the reception team was polite and apologetic. The real issue lies with the hotel’s management and leadership, who appear completely disconnected from running a professional hospitality operation.
If this continues, poor management will eventually ruin what is otherwise a good property.
