The Artz Hotel

After a disappointing and nightmare experience at Wyndham Ion Majestic, I had to look for another hotel at the last minute during the school holidays. I didn’t expect much because this hotel is not at the mountain top, is not a new 5-star hotel and has limited facilities. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Although it is a budget hotel, the room felt clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming with smiles. That was already enough to make us feel much more comfortable after our previous experience. The hotel is located around Gohtong Jaya / Chin Swee Temple, and walking to the escalator is manageable. There are around 8 escalators to get up towards the Awana Cable Car / Chin Swee Station area, so it does require some walking and travelling, but we were okay with it. There is no air-conditioning, only a fan, but surprisingly, my 6-year-old son was perfectly happy and comfortable during our stay. He actually enjoyed staying here so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night. ❤️ There are a few things to consider. At night, there aren’t many convenient stores or restaurants nearby, so it can be inconvenient if you need food or necessities. During the daytime, you may also hear firecracker sounds from the temple, so light sleepers may want to take note. Overall, if you don’t mind travelling up and down to the mountain top by car or cable car, and you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly and clean place with friendly staff, this is definitely worth considering. For me, sometimes a basic hotel with a clean room and genuinely friendly staff can feel much better than an expensive hotel with lots of facilities but a disappointing experience. My son was happy here, and that’s what mattered most to me. ❤️

I can't get a good sleep at night when they are people outside still talking and we can hear it loud because the soundproof is bad at midnight furthermore,the toilet also got water dripping and the fan also got noise.Not recommended for the people that can't sleep easily

Stayed for a night and felt relaxed. Staff Nisa was courteous and helpful throughout my stay. Room environment is excellent, new and clean. Fully equipped with everything you need. Will go back again to enjoy the nice scenery and Chinese holly statues throughout the Chin Swee place. Parking is ample and available throughout the stay wherever you come back either daytime or night. A must stay hotel and vacation spot.

It’s a basic hotel with not much to offer, and it’s quite far from the main Genting Highlands area. The only nearby attraction is Chin Swee Temple. Not really suitable for us, but it was enough for a short stay and to enjoy the cool air around the area.
