Clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, record players in the rooms, great coffee at the cafe downstairs, and a nice location on the subway line. I would return any time - highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a lot of character, set in one of Toronto’s older buildings with a unique atmosphere that stands out from the typical chain hotel experience.
It’s more of a self-service style, so don’t expect full-service luxury. If you’re someone who enjoys exploring and doesn’t mind a bit of independence, it actually gives you a lot of freedom.
The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was great for a good night’s sleep. The A/C was a little loud, but I only needed it because of the heat wave. My room faced the back alley, so it was surprisingly quiet, and I didn’t hear any outside noise during my stay.
The location is another big highlight. The neighbourhood is lively and always has something going on, with plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and bars just steps away. It’s also very convenient, with major transit options within walking distance that make it easy to get anywhere in the city.
Overall, a charming place with plenty of personality, especially for travelers looking for something a little different.
