This was the first hotel we checked into on Day 1 of our trip, so we were shocked to find out the room didn’t come with an attached bathroom. Thankfully, we had not carried up our two luggage upstairs because the room was so tiny we could barely fit any luggage inside. We spoke to the owner, who explained that the photos on Agoda were incorrect and the room shown had already been taken. He offered us a refund, but it was too late in the day to look for another place, so we contacted Agoda instead. Fortunately, they agreed to give us some compensation. Thankfully, it was only a one-night stay. While using the shared kitchen, we met other guests who had also booked through different platforms thinking their rooms came with private bathrooms. So apparently, we weren’t the only ones misled.
