We had a lovely stay at the Alex. The staff were very friendly and the rooftop bar has excellent panoramic views of the city. Close to Olympiacos football and basketball stadiums and quaint tavernas 2 mins walk to the seafront

I have stayed in a fee hotels in Piraeus prior to boarding a cruise ship, but always in the centre of the town in the past. I decided to try this one, based on the reviews, despite it being a little further out.
I’m glad I gave it a try. From the warmest of welcomes from the staff on the front desk when I arrived mid afternoon, to the friendly staff in the bar/restaurant on the top floor, my stay felt great.
The room itself was modern and clean with very efficient air conditioning - most welcome in the heat. The bathroom was nicely laid out too.
And, location wise, it was fine. I managed a good stroll into the main centre (despite the heat) and it was only a €10 taxi ride to the ship the day I checked out.
A lovely hotel I will definitely use again before my next cruise from Piraeus! (Maybe I’ll stay more than 1 night next time!!)

From the second I got out of my car I was greeted by the hotel manager named Dimitiris who took my luggage and then offered some refreshments. The room was very nice and clean and I could not have asked for anything to be different. Upon checking out there was a Taxi strike so I had no ride to the airport, so the manager was very kind to drop us to the train station. Never have I seen this kind of customer service and hospitality from any hotel even the four seasons. Absolutely amazing! 10/10
