Great location great staff

10 / 10Outstanding·Sep 2026

Stayed there around 10 days. Convenient location and close proximity to a lot of dining options with the motorbike we rented. Breakfast choice is the only area which should improve. When you stay that long it’s boring after the second day. Small offering and no variety at all. Nevertheless gave full score based on friendly staff

8 / 10Excellent·Sep 2026

Faded glory. Clearly not at its best these days but the rooms are spacious, the internet is good, the views across the lake are stunning and it's 10 mins by grab from the old quarter and a few minutes from the bars and restaurants in Tay Ho. And it is outstanding value for money, less than a third of the cost of the big western hotels nearby. I've stayed for my last 3 visits to Hanoi. Yes it's quirky, but i like that.

Value for money . Good location and rooms on the stilt on the water. A good experience . Old hotel so common area a bit tattered. Excellent service by staff. Almost same breakfast on all 5 days.
