Stayed at the Takimikan Annex. The closest hotel to the waterfalls. Our room could see the waterfalls and the view from the lounge was just wonderful. That’s why it’s called Takimikan. 24 hours drinks from the lounge was a plus. So relaxing there! The annex is very close to the village street also. The room was spacious and clean. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the annex, it’s amazing location for if you want to visit the town a lot as it’s right at the end of the street, has a private onsen, and a lounge (free drinks provided 24/7) overlooking the glorious waterfall. I did visit the main building, it’s much bigger and has nicer facilities but it’s quite a hike uphill from the town. I just wish they have more timing for the free shuttle to Oshida station, currently they only have 9.50am which means I don’t get to enjoy my stay longer than I would want to.

This place is quiet. The dining experience is good as private space is provided for every customers and the food is served. The public bath is usually not crowded and it does not close over night. Customers can use the 24 hours lounge with free flows of soft drinks, beers and liquor. Staffs are friendly and helpful going all out to meet your needs.
The outdoor onsen water felt a bit dirty as one can notice particulates in it’s water.

Room in Annex building with view of waterfall. Service is good, Breakfast is good too, just that price is a bit pricey for a stay without dinner
