    Left the hotel at 230pm and came back to a room late in the evening that was unmade. The explanation from the front desk was due to the no disturb sign. When I said I left the room at 230 pm and removed the sign he said there usually is no cleaning staff by 2 pm. That sounded rather disingenuous coz the reason why I hadn’t alerted front desk about housekeeping was because when we came out of the room and drove away , we encountered at least three housekeeping staff making the grounds and who saw us getting out of the room and slowly making our way to the vehicle. Bear in mind that this is a small property where all the two dozen rooms or thereabouts were fully visible terms of movements and whether there continues to be a sign on the door. I think I was more disturbed at the disingenuous explanation than having to make my own bed, clear my own trash and beg for clean towels. Speaking of trash bags, there wasn’t even an extra bag beneath the used one which is standard hotel practice. Trump’s tariffs must have hit hard and trash bags are now rationed like previous commodities.
