Suburban Studios Tysons Corner

I stay frequently in hotels and this was by far the dirtiest because the laminate floors have NEVER been mopped. My socks turned black the first night and i had to buy shoes to wear in my room. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and tried to clean it myself but I went through an entire packet of disposable mop and wipes and the floor was still covered in layers of dirt. The sheets were clean but if I didn't wear slippers the dirt would get into the bed. You have to run the AC unit on the 'Dry' setting multiple times a day otherwise moisture accumulates on the walls and makes for a damp room and mold. Fortunately I figured this out and was able to avoid too much mold exposure as I'm highly allergic. The stopper in the bathroom sink was stuck in the down position and there was no knob to lift it, so i couldn't use the bathroom sink. Fortunately my room had a kitchenette so i could use the kitchen sink but it was very inconvenient. The TV signal was out most of the time. Staff was very friendly however and very helpful with other circumstances like getting new linens and promptly changing the bulbs in my room as they were all flickering when i arrived which I think is the signal they give when they need changed. The 'closet' hanger rack was coated in a sticky dust and so i was apprehensive about putting my clothes there. The bath didn't have a plug and had mold around the edges of the bottoms of the plastic panels. I did notice 2 doors down on my last day that there was a room opened up and being completely ripped of furnitures and had mold throughout the room. You could smell it from outside and now i know where the smell was coming from. On a good note, Laundry room was clean, parking was really good and I didn't feel unsafe as a solo female traveler. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was very convenient and it was relatively quiet. The location is decent and easy to access with plenty of parking. I stayed for a week. If the floors had been mopped clean I think it would've made a much better impression but it made me feel really dirty in a space that looked like they had done nice updates to the floors and kitchenette. It just wasn't taken care of cleanliness wise as it could've been. Unfortunately because of this I don't want to return regardless of how good the price and location are. I appreciate your staff but not the dirtiness of the floors and mold.

Light went completely off in the whole hotel and we didn’t get refund or credits

A dark hair lady Tall wouldn't deny me her name but she has this horrible middle eastern accent. She would just make faces at me and be very, very mean to me.I would not suggest this place for anyone.Because the ront desk is horrible

Overall, my experience with this motel is mixed. Getting a good room is a flip of a coin. You can either get a room that is clean that has fixtures that are broken or a filthy and dirty room that has everything working. If you need a place to crash for the night, it's ok. If you plan on staying longer, expect to be moving rooms a lot. The breakfast is good at least.
