Disappointing Stay – Poor Value for Money, Hygiene Issues and Inadequate Service The biggest disappointment was the gap between the price we paid and the experience we received. For the amount charged, we expected good accommodation, proper hygiene, quality food, and attentive service. Unfortunately, several basic expectations were not met. Hygiene was a major concern. When we arrived, used utensils were already lying around and had to be removed after we pointed them out. Even more concerning, dogs could easily enter the villa’s garden and access plates left outside, creating a clear risk of contamination. This is not a minor inconvenience; it raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food hygiene that should not arise at a property charging a premium price. Another major issue was the lack of noise control and the staff’s failure to respond to complaints. We arrived around 2 PM and could hear someone watching TV at a very loud volume. We initially ignored it, hoping it would stop, but by 9–10 PM the noise was still continuing, so we raised a complaint. Despite multiple complaints, the staff failed to resolve the issue, and the noise only stopped around 12:30 AM, leaving us unable to sleep properly until then. At checkout, when we reminded the staff about this unresolved issue, we were asked to mention everything in our review. This was particularly disappointing because we expected the staff to address the problem during our stay, not simply ask us to report it afterward. The property photos on the booking app were also noticeably different from reality. The pool shown in the listing looked more attractive and featured steps, whereas the actual pool was different. The room provided to us also did not match the advertised pictures. Guests deserve accurate photographs, particularly when making a booking at this price point. The food quality was another serious letdown. The pasta was bland, the garlic bread was burnt, and the malai tikka was excessively hard. Even after we requested a replacement, most of the pieces remained difficult to eat. The paneer we ordered afterward was equally hard and lacked flavour. We could not finish most of what we ordered, making the food poor value for money as well. The property does have decent views and potential, but good views alone cannot justify a premium price when hygiene, food quality, accurate representation, noise management, and basic service fall short. The overall experience was significantly below what we paid for and expected. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves its hygiene practices, food preparation, staff responsiveness, and noise control. Based on our experience, the stay did not offer value for money, and I would urge future guests to consider these issues before booking.
