    I would give this hotel 8.5/10. Inspite being an old building (maybe around 1970s-80s?) but it's reasonably clean and spacious. We had a traditional Japanese room providing futons and padded seats and low tables (very tradional) with private bathroom. Price was reasonably affordable being so close to Shiga Kogen Ski Resort. Manager at reception was super accommodating (and even surprisingly gave me a birthday token). The breakfast and dinner are traditional as well (very good). There's shared fridge and microwave near their dining area. There's also a drying room at the basement where you can also leave your skii equipment and can rent as well. The only negative I can say is that Wi-Fi is very poor (we were at 5th floor) and only 1 lift/elevator was working. The room service was below average, but can always request if you want more toiletries etc.. Overall, satisfied and highly recommended.
