This is a very old hotel. It is located in a sensational position on lake brienz.
We had a room that over looked lake brienz.
Very basic room. And no air con. No fridge in room.
Very small
But we were only there for 1 night before heading off to grandhotel Gießbach. And it suited what we needed for a transfer of 1 night.
Breakfast was ok. Very basic.
People in the bar were good and Food and drinks were great.
Hotel staff = Tara was super helpful and her customer service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.
We arrived to brienz via train and it was wonderful that the hotel picked us up at the train station and drove us to hotel and also when we left for free. Both gentlemen were lovely and helpful. Thank you.

Lake facing with balcony beautiful view. Breakfast was buffet style and included in price Train station walkable easy access to Interlaken and surroundings.
If going to Rothorn summit book early fills up fast in summer.
Rooms adequate size with a work table.

This place is definitely worth staying even just for the view while it is actually very good price compared to the expensive price in Switcherland. The staff is very nice and hospitable, arranged early check in for me because I was very tired after one night's flight.
