No frill accommodation. Nobody is available/present to receive you; I received all the check-in instructions very clearly via WhatsApp, so no issue even though I arrived quite late, about 9.30pm.
Only thing to be aware of, is to ensure your Grab Ride destination is correct.. I keyed in Rum Studio 5 and see the address mentioned in Grab app is correct, but only realised when I've arrived the drop-pin shown on the Grab map is incorrect - it led me to a location on the other side of the road. (Very weird as I've checked in Grab App the address which showed up was correct.)
Hence I still need to figure my way to cross a major road to get to the other side. Which is not a problem as I'm travelling light; if you're with heavy luggages and little kids, then it may be a challenge.. 😬
As for the room itself, the surprise was the projector TV with Netflix, so that's helpful for us.
Room isn't exactly spick and span - it gives a retro-vibe.
Acceptable for me to stay for a couple of nights; for extended longterm stay, I'll probably look elsewhere.
Location is great. Within D1. And there are small cafes along the same street. The Japan Eats restaurant next door had great food!!
Will consider staying again if I'm back in HCMC and will like to stay within D1. 😊

Good location, has wifi, offers laundry services. Really like the community around. Price is understandable for that location. But communication with manager is slow/ always delayed. Bed is a bit hard.
Bathroom is quite dirty, there were cockroaches in the room too. So perhaps good if you just need place to crash

It’s not how it shows in the pictures. The TV and fridge does not work. Had cobwebs. The floor was sticky. The bathroom walls was not wiped and looked like someone came in them. The toilet brush was laying down behind the toilet. Behind the bed was full of trash. The cabinets were dusty asf. Someone came in while I was inside and almost naked. The sink stank and did not work. There was no table to work at and when I requested one, they came to give me a wobbly practically unusable one. The placed smelled musty. This is by far the worst experience. It was disgusting
