    Cozy tatami room in hostel setting was on the 2nd floor so need to handle steep stairs with luggages. Shared toilets on same floor and shared bathrooms were on the lower floor. Room came with a bar fridge, hair dryer and ac/heater. Hostel had laundry facilities, and bar that seems popular. Location is near hiking trail. Two parking lots. Manager mans bar and speaks English. Thanks for the updates on the earthquake situation and emergency drills. Suggest to put up more instructions on management of trash, recycles, hostel map and use of smart lights in room that turns brighter on 2nd toggle. Ac needs more freq attention for efficiency.

    Great traditional Japanese accommodation, no problem, everything was good, however it was very windy and rainy night and couldn’t get much sleep because of all the noises around the house.

    Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. Location right at the base of the hiking trails and just a few meters walk from the bus stand.

    It is not expensive, the cost ~11k yen which is value for money comparing others in hakone. and at reasonable location convenient location. The check in is at the bar next door. The signage of the hotel is small. Check in is 3pm, the bar was closed bef that, we arrived early and as pre informed we left our luggage on the shoe rack near the door, unregistered, at your own risk and nothing got lost. The location is 30mins by direct bus from hakone yumoto station, alight and walk uphill for 7 mins to reach hotel. From here, You can take direct bus to gotemba station at certain timing only or direct bus to gotemba premium outlet. It is walkable 7 mins downhill to a nearby small supermarket . The hotel has 3 rooms on second floor, no lift. As told, toilet and shower is shared, towel is on rental, toothbrush for 100 yen each. Microwave and fridge is avaialbe at the shared lounge. I booked quadruple room with view. The room is small and barely just enough to lay 4 futons and no more walkway. The futon is not for me, I felt it is so thin about 3 inch and cotton is uneven. The furniture are outdated and some area is dusty. The window view is nice and soothing.
