    Reftel has everything you need close to Itami Osaka airport. Very clean, actually spacious, recently refurbished. Checking in and out was a hassle free breeze. Hotel is unmanned but everything works well so no issues at all. Ample English signage around to help. Parking available. 8 mins walk to Itami.

    Has a bathtub. Separate bathroom with bidet at the toilet. Common microwave near the elevator on each floor that I was able to buy food from nearby and heat it up at the hotel.

    My wife and I stayed two nights at the REFTEL Osaka. We left feeling cheated and extorted. Here’s why I had booked a twin room for one night using one of the largest travel agents in AustralAsia. We decided it would be more convenient to stay two nights so I booked an additional night (twin room) this time through Agoda. The price was almost half that of the travel agent. When we got to the hotel, the staff refused my wife to stay for the second night as her name was not explicitly on the booking (neither was it on the Agoda booking?) although clearly it was double occupancy twin room. They demanded an additional fee of ***yen so that she could stay with me on the second night. As we had an early flight out, there seemed no options but to hand over the additional ***. (Which I should point out was more than two thirds of the price of the total Agoda booking for the night before). We got nothing for the additional money. We stayed in the same twin room both nights, same sheets, towels. Breakfast was not included on either day. In over forty years of travel in Japan this is the first time I have a really bad taste in my mouth. I felt cheated and extorted by the hotel. The right thing to do would be to refund the additional *** yen. I’m still waiting.
