    Just don’t bother, so much better value elsewhere. So disappointing. Manager was abrupt, borderline irritated, by having to check guests in, from moment we walked in. Terrible directions when we had to ask twice for where our room was as his accent was quite strong and due to the irritability. The room was hot and stifling on entry, very clean but so old and outdated. We had to open the balcony doors (also needed tools to crack open due to lack of maintenance) and then we were faced with the constant stream of groups of smokers drinking and smoking in car park and talking loudly directly in front of the rooms. All this is fine as you get what you pay for but….the mattress and bed was awful! So so old you could feel the metal frame in it and so bouncy and uncomfortable, when one person moves, the other is almost bounced off the bed. Neither of us got any sleep that night. Shower was good and clean with lots of pressure but it was so noisy that you could hear the water going anytime anyone in the whole block showered. The main reason we chose this hotel was our usual was fully booked and this looked like it would at least be fun as it has a bar and restaurant and pool table etc but unfortunately everything was closed off and taken over by a chapter or club of “veterans” with their club and Australians flags put up and the areas were completely off limits to all other guests. And the noises of the smokers and drinkers in the main carpark under our rooms all day and night smoking drinking laughing directly, metres away form our room was simply torture. But this isn’t even the worst of it. The concrete everywhere is just so gross, the concrete and horrible green felt carpet STUFF is covering the grounds with fluorescent lights that are on all night long. It felt and looked like an old council flat around the actual rooms. Very old school institutional style. This place had so much potential but please, think of your other guests, perhaps show exactly where the rooms are and what the grounds are truly like. Better management and some much needed modernisation is desperately needed.

    Walking distance to CBD and farmer market. Clean, quite place. Only minus is no lift, we had to carry the luggage upstair (2 levels)

    Would probably not stay again as there were ants everywhere in the room, out toilet didn't flush properly and we found an earwig in the spare blanket.
