Do not stay here! I rarely leave reviews this strongly worded, but my experience at Puerto Palace was unacceptable. I was given a room right at the end of the corridor, and the sea view I paid for was virtually non-existent. The majority of the outlook was over what looked like a back alley/service area, which was extremely disappointing. Far more concerning was the room itself. There was an overpowering damp, stale odour that was impossible to ignore. After spending time in the room, my throat and nose became increasingly irritated and, most concerningly, I felt the air was affecting my breathing. I raised the problem with reception and specifically asked to change rooms, but my request was refused. I was repeatedly told that I did not need to change rooms despite explaining how uncomfortable I felt. I found the response incredibly dismissive. I wasn't asking to move because I disliked the décor or wanted a better view; I was raising a genuine concern about the conditions in my room and how I was physically feeling. With no satisfactory solution offered, I felt I had no reasonable option other than to leave and arrange alternative accommodation at additional expense. I have genuinely tried to think of positives: the grounds are well maintained and pleasant, and the pool area is attractive. Unfortunately, those are the only positives I can take from my stay. In my opinion, the overall experience certainly did not live up to the name “Puerto Palace”. Nice gardens cannot compensate for an unacceptable room or the dismissive way a genuine concern was handled. I did not leave because I changed my mind or decided I preferred another hotel. I left because the conditions in my room were affecting how I felt physically, including my breathing, and the hotel would not move me to another room. Based on my experience at the hotel itself, I could not recommend staying here.

Situated away from the town centre, however, nice walk via parks ~2 km down the hill and then up ;) No real beaches around. Good place for few nights to visit Loro Park, town and other surroundings. Rooms were good size, breakfast had good diversity, also dinner we did enjoy. Nice swimming pool.

Lovely hotel well run with great facilities. Extensive buffet breakfast plenty of choice and fresh. Location good with views down to the town. Walk down easy though steep hills coming back!!
